It's Never Too Early to Prepare

Are you prepared?

AIHce EXP may be six months away, but there’s plenty you can do to prepare for the conference. In order to make the most of your time, there are a few things you should think about before you’ve even stepped foot in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in May 2018.

What are your goals for career development for the next year?

Consider where you are in your career today and where you see yourself a year from now. There’s no question your time at AIHce EXP will help you shape your career, but you can’t walk into the conference without a plan. If you haven’t already, take the time to walk through the IH Professional Pathway resources we’ve created for you.

How do you like to learn?

We know that everyone’s learning style is a little different. While some prefer to be more hands-on, others enjoy interactive presentations. For our education sessions, we encouraged people to submit session proposals using delivery formats that create engaging learning environments. As a result, we’re pleased to have a variety of learning formats for you to explore. So, consider your preferred method of learning before selecting the sessions you want to attend at AIHce EXP.

What will be the most effective use of your time at AIHce?

It’s going to be a jam-packed few days in Philadelphia this May, and we want you to make the most out of your time at the conference. Take the time to go through the full conference agenda (which is now available) and create your schedule. Be sure to also schedule time for exploring the Expo hall and networking with your peers.

Who are the people you want to connect with at the conference?

We cannot say this enough: you will not have a better opportunity to meet your workplace health and safety professional peers from around the world. In addition to the connections you’ll be making, you will also have the opportunity to hear from esteemed presenters from the National Safety Council, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and well, we could keep going, but we’ll let you explore.

Which Professional Development Course (PDC) will be the most valuable?

In addition to our education sessions, we’re offering PDCs before and after the conference. These courses are formalized learning experiences that, through in-depth instruction by field experts, enhance technical competence and provide practical tools and skills for the modern workplace. Search this year's PDCs.

How will you stay updated leading up to the conference?

Well, we’ve got that part covered. Sign up now to receive timely conference updates, notifications, offers, and relevant information to ensure the best experience you can have at AIHce EXP in May.
