Our 2018 Keynotes: Megatrends and Total Exposure Health

When planning an event like AIHce EXP, selecting the right keynote speakers truly helps set the tone for the entire experience. Our team works hard to ensure that the keynote speakers we choose are tent poles throughout the entire conference. Alla Orlova, our new Director of Education, wanted to “have a story throughout all three keynotes, to address the future of the profession, to touch upon organizational content priorities, and inspire conference attendees.”

This, of course, kicks off with our opening keynote speaker, Rich Karlgaard. On Monday morning, as your coffee is kicking in, Karlgaard will set the stage for your week with his keynote “Three Megatrends and Four Best Practices That Will Shape Your Business Future.” As a respected forecaster, Karlgaard offers a unique vantage point on the trends driving the business and economic climates, which in turn influence the decisions we make in the IH/OH industry.

There is a lot of noise when it comes to business predictions, and Rich Karlgaard cuts through that noise. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of business, economic, innovation, and technological trends, he is able to see, weigh, and articulate the variables that will shape the future.

His experience as editor of Forbes magazine has given him incredible access to CEOs and major investors around the world, allowing him to translate those insights from around the world to his audiences.

We’re looking forward to kicking off AIHce EXP 2018 with Rich Karlgaard’s insights on the trends affecting our profession.

Now picture this: It’s Wednesday, May 23 in Philadelphia. You’ve just spent the past few days learning, networking, and engaging with fellow IH/OH professionals. You’ve taken in the beautiful sights of Philadelphia, and yes, some excellent food.

But wait - there’s more!

Just as Karlgaard’s opening keynote at AIHce EXP will set the tone for your experience, we wanted to make sure that our closing keynote would bring it all together to give you even more nuggets to think about on your way home. Our closing keynote session this year is “Total Exposure Health - A Revolutionary Way to Think of Exposure and Primary Prevention.”

Colonel (ret.) Kirk Phillips will address total exposure health (TEH), a bold solution to capture workplace, environmental, and lifestyle exposures to the individual using advances in science, technology, and informatics to help reduce short- and long-term health risks. What better way to end AIHce this year than to hear about a holistic approach to integrating science, technology, informatics, and medicine into interconnected preventive health systems.

As the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Practice Leader at LJB Inc. out of Dayton, Ohio, Col. Phillips is passionate about improving the quality of life for our communities. In 2014, he developed Total Exposure Health as a strategic initiative to institutionalize primary prevention in work, environmental and lifestyle exposures.

We’re looking forward to concluding this year’s AIHce EXP in Philadelphia with Colonel Kirk Phillips and learning about TEH. Want to get to know more about Rich Karlgaard and Col. Phillips? Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss our interview with them when they go live!
